Argentina Trip
I recently had the great privilege of visiting Missionary Larry Owens and his church, Bethel Baptist, in Tucuman, Argentina. I traveled with my son Josh, Brother Zack Polyak, and Missionary Kevin Wynne to Argentina for Brother Owens’ Bible conference. (It takes about two full days to get to Argentina.) We had a great time of fellowship and I enjoyed preaching with Brother Ezekiel Salazar, Brother Luis Ramos, and Brother Kevin Wynne. We all preached and taught 8-10 times during our three-day visit.
God is using Missionary Larry Owens in a great way to stir a revival of church planting in northern Argentina. Brother Owens has labored in relative obscurity for more than 20 years. His church has grown to about 500 people, his Bible college now teaches about 50 students each year, and he has planted several churches.
It was great to see several of the men that are being helped by Global Church Planters’ support. These men have a vision to reach the unreached people in Argentina.
One side note I might add is that if you enjoy eating beef, you should visit Argentina!
